Washer shows a F1 and it try to spin but than stops and makes a loud clik.
Answer Hello Jesus. A communication error between the Central Control Unit (CCU)
and the EEPROM onboard the CCU occurred. Possible Causes/Procedure
¦ A power glitch may cause this error.
– Unplug washer or disconnect power for two minutes.
– Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any
cycle. PUMP DRIVE ERROR The pump driver fails to activate. Possible Causes/Procedure
¦ Replace CCU board.
When I go to run a cycle F24 pops up and goes to spin cycle which will run, No other program will run.
Answer Nina, Are you sure it's an F24 error code " F24- WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR ERROR- If the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range (23°F to 217°F during the water-heating step of the WASH cycle. Possible Causes/Procedure - 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check the water temperature sensor and connection to it. 3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this
model. (abnormal = infinity). The water heating circuit failure doesn't usually cause the washer to program into the spin/drain mode. You should remove the lower access panel on the front of the washer. You should find the tech data sheet and wiring diagram attached to the inside of the panel. You can then conduct the diagnostics and test modes and review the error codes and verify other possible issues.
Does the control panel have the start button attached to it?
Answer Hello Bigharv,
The actual green button that you would push is on the control panel W10099593 but the button that is behind it to start unit is on the contol board 8571903.
display light will not come on
Answer Pwg, Are you sure you have power at the outlet, if so, you'll need to remove the top of the washer and check for power to the CCU W10246289 " 1. Check that the unit is plugged into a working outlet and for blown fuses. 2. Check for power going to Central Control Unit (CCU) by listening for a click in the CCU when unit is plugged in. If no click, replace CCU." If the CCU has a "click" check the wiring harness from the CCU to the UIB 8571903 if the wiring connections and wires are OK, replace the UIB.
When I turn on my washer it goes though like the first cycle then it'll stop and blink 5d then starts again and then runs for like 10 mins then blinks f21 or f1. It wont drain the softer or bleach and when it stops you cant open the door and all the lights stay on. Please help asap..
Answer Hello Cassandra. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the pump may be clogged and will need to be cleaned out. Also, check all the hoses, the tub to pump and drain hose for clogs. The codes you provided are for long drain and suds and the pump usually are at fault on these, and usually just needs to be cleaned out. Hope this helps.
I can't change the water temperature. I think it's the circuit board.
Answer Hello Pam,
The electronic control is a good place to start. I cannot go into any detail without a valid model number. It looks like you probably have a Kenmore, but the first three digits before the period are missing.
I checked the pump and hose as you requested, all were in proper order. I ordered the control and the switch and installed that you suggested. Plugged the machine up and selected clean washer, pressed start, door locked and that was it, it never spun and water did not start flowing into the machine. I started checking all other wiring and did a diagnostic check. There were no failure codes, the lights stayed on for five seconds, went off and came right back on for five seconds then the rinse/spin light flashed indefinatly. I then did some more looking and found that when the tech left after working on the machine originally he did not install the detergent motor and it is no where to be found. I went ahead and ordered all the parts to install a new one from here and will install when it arrives. Is there anything else I may need to inspect or replace to get this thing repaired? Thanks, Jarrad.
Answer Jarrad, I would have expected you to get an "F30" error code, if the dispenser motor was missing. But, then there wouldn't be a communication link, and the washer could shut down, without a code ? Based on what I have, I think you'll be fine once you get the dispenser motor and other parts installed and connected to the CCU. Thanks and Good Luck
While moving the washer into another room, I broke off the control knob on the front panel. I need to replace the electronic control. I want to replace it myself. Is there a drawing diagram I can access so I can use as a reference?
Answer Randy, To replace the "User Interface Control" you'll need to : "1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Turn off the water supply to the washer. 3. Remove the three T-20 hex-head Torx screws from the top cover of the washer. 4. Pull back on the cover and release the
tabs in the console from the slots in the cover, then lift the cover off the unit.To remove the console: a) Pull out and disconnect cable connector UI8 from the central control unit. b) Remove the cable wires from the two central control unit clips. c) Pull the detergent dispenser drawer out as far as it will go, then press down on the release tab, and remove the drawer from the unit. d) Remove the two screws at the recessed hole and bottom of the console. e) Lift the top edge of the console and unhook it from the holder clips. f) Press the locking tab on the right rear side of the console inward, and remove the console. To remove the touchpad/LED assembly:
a) Pull the selector knob off the switch shaft. b) Press the seven console locking tabs, and unsnap the touchpad/LED assembly, then lift the assembly from the console and remove it." reverse the procedure and check for operation. Thanks and Good Luck
