My washer was running at the time and stopped. How can I tell if it's the line filter or the control board? There are no burn marks on either part. When I plug it in there's no click from the board. I have 25.4 volts through the line filter. There are also no lights that come on when it's plugged in.
Answer Zach, What's the voltage into the W10367632 line filter. It should be 120 VAC or you'd have a damaged line cord, or outlet power problem. Voltage out of the line filter should be 120 VAC, and it needs to be present at the IF2 connector on the CCU. 25.4 VAC isn't enough voltage to force the K1 relay closed, or the display board to react and "light up".
My front load washer gets SD error on about 16 minutes until complete of normal wash cycle only when I use WARM water setting? It gets stuck when it in the process of using the drain pump. When I run normal cycle with COLD water, HOT water, Or Very Hot water the washing machine compeltes the cycle no problem and does not get the SD error? What is the issue with this washer only getting SD error when using warm water setting?
Answer Hello Holladog. If suds are detected continuously by the pressure switch during the
drain or spin phases, the washer will fill 4 liters of water and during
5 minutes the unit will rest without tumbling, the water will be drained
and it will try to spin or drain again. Possible Causes/Procedure
¦ If too much detergent was used:
– Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
– Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any detergent.
¦ This should clear the unit of the excess detergent.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure
switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any
I have a Maytag Epic washer, purchased in 2008. I push the power button and it turns on, but when I push the start button it just goes off. I replaced the control panel, the door latch and the elec.control unit. It still did the same thing, so I finally called a repairman, who said it was the elec. control, bad part. Do you thinks he's right?
Answer Hello Cindy,
First verify all connections by unplugging and re-connecting each of the connections to the main control, the motor control, and the motor, one at a time. You then should try to put the unit into the diagnostic test as described in the tech sheet. This should be located in a re-sealable plastic bag behind the bottom front panel. While it is possible for the CCU W10525358 to be the issue, these units are notorious for poor electrical connections.
I start the washer and it it start the water and then it stops. The first time it happened the washer stopped at 8 mins and just did nothing. The door stayed locked. Unplugged the machine and pulled the manual door lock release. It shows no error codes. What do I need to fix it?
If the unit stops at around 8 minutes then you will want to check the drain pump to ensure that it is not clogged which would cause a time out issue if the pressure switch does not sense the water leaving the unit. Also check the door lock to make sure that it is good. It could be that the door lock is faulty and will not allow the unit to go into the final spin.
All the lights flash on the machine and it stops and it flashes F28 and the door won't open either. Thanks
Answer Hello Brian,
The fault code listed for that model indicates the communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and
Central Control Unit (CCU). - Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. - Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. 3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors.
my HE2t washing machine keeps flashing F01? do I need to replace the control panel?
The F01 error code is an indication of a EEPROM error which is a communication error between the CCU and EEPROM on the CCU. A power glitch may cause this issue. Unplug the washer for 2 minutes. Plug back in and try to run a cycle and if the same error code comes up then you will need to replace the Control board W10163007.
