Everything on the stove works correctly except the cancel button on the control panel for the top oven will not shut off the top oven. I have to go and trip the breaker in the panel to shut off the oven. The button under the panel feeels "dead" to me. Do I need to replace the whole control panel and membrane or can the control be repaired. Thanks, AL

Maytag Gemini double electric oven. Everything works except top oven bake. Control board is only sending 110v to one side. Other side reads 0v. Does the control board need to be replaced? Bake element is fine.

Maytag Gemini mer6755aas. Top oven, top element works ok. Top oven, lower heating element does not work. Lower oven neither elements work. Lower oven broiler works. Stove top works fine. Is this the control panel?

While baking (may have happened when the top oven door was opened, not sure), all lights on control panel shut off. Stove top works, and warm indicator light works. Unplugged the oven for a time and back in. Still no lights. Tried a self test (top cancel and clock), but no beep, no lights, nothing. Is there any doubt that that it could only be the control panel (AP4358958)? Would there be anything else to troubleshoot? Oven has not been moved or anything like that. Thank you.

Symptom: low heat in baking oven. Checked already heating element (20.9 Ohms). Still to check temperature sensor (1100 Ohms @ room temp). If that does not show anything wrong, it must be the control assembly. 1) What range of resistance does the temperature sensor have (for example how much is it at 450°F? 2) In case I replace the control assembly, do I need to replace the OVERLAY as well? I note that the overlay of my current unit is pretty attached to the control assembly plastic holder, and it may break if I try to peel it off. 3) I am inclined to re-mount my existing control assembly and partically insert the connectors to the relays (RED. YELLO, WHITE, BLUE and BLACK (the others will be fully inserted). I hope to double check the application of power (have a good DMM) to the lower bake element. Any comments? 4) It was very difficult to disconnect the large connectors to the control assembly: it only worked when I took it out and used a screw driver to pry them off. Is this normal? Thanks! Henri.

I replaced bottom bake element. After I got it back together the control panel would not work and neither of ovens would work. Only the clock shows up on the controln panel. All the top burners still work. Is there a fuse in the control panel or do I have to buy the complete panel, if so what are you return policies. The stove was purchased in 2008

There has to be an alternative to the "cancel button" for the top oven. I have owned my oven since 2007 and this is the second time it went out. The first time it was within the extended warranty I purchased (luckily). I just called maytag and they said it was $250 for the part and $25 for shipping. This is ridiculous! Obviously this is a common problem. Everywhere I read customers are talking about it. Do they expect me to spend $150-$250 every few years to replace one button that doesnt work? Every other button works perfect, but the cancel button for the top oven (twice)! So please just get us a cheap part to fix it once and for all, like a fuse or something. Not an expensive motherboard for one button that seems to be faulty!

Just the bake element in lower oven does not work. Continuity checks ok for element and from clock/controls. Broil element does work in lower oven. One previous answer mentions oven relay. I do not see an oven relay on schematic or on oven. And what is the difference between oven thermostat and oven sensor? Also, does overlay come as part of the control board?
