My 5 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator is freezing food in the main compartment while showing a temperature of 38 degrees. The Freezer temperature shows 0 degrees. From what I've read it could be a control board issue. Are there other trouble-shooting steps I should take before ordering a new one?

Yesterday we noticed our 7 year old maytag refrigerator the temperature was rising in the upper part but the lower freezer was staying at 0. Today we put ice packs in the upper to salvage what we can. Any suggestions

The control buttons do not work and the temperature in the fridge and freezer are above optimal most of the time (items in freezer do not freeze solid) and fluctuate even when not in use. Tech looked at it and suggested replacing control board first to see if that fixes temp problem. Can you give me the proper part number and is there anything I need to do to program it when replaced? I successfully fixed my Bosch dishwasher with your help and parts. Thanks

My Kenmore 59676593602 temperature display will show -31 for the freezer and 50 for the refrigerator; however, neither are cold enough - the freezer setting I use is 0, and the refrigerator setting I use is 38 (as recommended). I can get normal readouts (and cooling for both compartments) if, after malfunctioning, I turn it off for 24 hours, unplug it, and then turn back on. It will work fine for a week or two, and then give then repeat the warming/faulty readouts. I have thought maybe replacing part number W10207861 would be a fix. Any additional thoughts?

Temperature control display show refrigerator in "OFF" position. However, when trying to activate the cool control to the desried temperature, there is no response. The LED continue to read "OFF". Is this a keyboard or ribbon problem?
