Dishwashers controll panel died, seems to be the controll board. What is the model # & is it worth it our should we buy a new washer?
It is a couple years old.
Answer Hello Brian! To determine the correct part number for the electronic control used on your model we will need the appliance serial number. Please obtain this information and repost for further assistance. Thanks!
The digital time readout went out a few weeks ago, but the dishwasher would work. Now the only lights I can get to light up are the Heavy wash, Rinse, Insta wash, and Auto. However, the start button will not light up and will not start the dishwasher. I have power to the water fill valve, float, and power through the door latch to the circuit board. how do i isolate whether it is the circuit board or the control panel?
Answer Jerry, to isolate the possible faulty part, you'll need a multimeter TJMA-DMT3 and the tech data sheet/wiring diagram, located in a plastic bag taped to the back side of the kickplate panel. If all the keypads check properly, replace the control board, but your issue is most likely a faulty control panel/keypad assembly 6-919824 . here's some meter usage information if you need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] Thanks and Good Luck
