So were is the main control board no. w10219463 located at? up at the control panel up on the fridge inside the main control box or behind the fridge? Can you tell me how the fridge control panel is is disassembled? I see only 2 screws, the ones that hold the light assembly. THis is for a whirlpool GC5SHEXNS00. Thanks..
Answer Cesar, The main control board W10219463 is located on the back of the refrigerator. You will need to move the refrigerator out away from the wall and remove the lower compressor compartment cover. You will find the control box and cover located to the left of the compressor, near the left cabinet side wall, so you'll want to make sure you disconnect the power cord from the outlet and turn off the water supply to the water dispenser and ice maker, before you dismantle anything.
I need to replace my control board. I was told the part number is W10219463. I am unable to find this or a suitable replacement. Please advise.
Answer Jeff, I've found model KBLS36FMX01. Electronic control W10219463 is the correct replacement listed for your appliance. Unfortunately, this item has been discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!
My compressor fan keeps running then stops for a second or two then it starts again. Everything else works perfect. What can i do to resolve this problem?
You will want to do a voltage test on the condenser fan motor to determine if there is constant power to the fan and to ensure of no voltage drop. If there is no drop of 120 vac plus or minus 10 percent then the motor is faulty and would need to be replaced. If there is voltage drop then the electronic control is faulty and would need to replace the control board.
Why you dont have this parts?
Answer Hello Octavio. This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.
Just recently, a high pitch whining sound has developed. The sound goes away when the refrigerator door is opened as the light/control display comes on. It will start back up again when the light/control display panel is off, even if the door is open, if the door light switch is not activated. Whether the compressor is on or off does not seem to make any difference. The noise sounds like a slightly fainter version of the beeping sound when the temperature control buttons are pushed, but it's a constant sound, not a beep.
I've also tried turning off the switch on the control panel and tried opening and closing the refrigerator door. When the panel is off, the noise is no longer there. Opening and closing the refrigerator door when the panel is turned off does not make any difference, there's no noise. The noise only seems to be there when the panel is on and when the panel is not lit.
The refrigerator and freezer seem to be working fine as everything still stays cold. I tried turning off the main switch behind the grill cover (per Kitchen Aid's instruction when I called them, waiting 10 minutes before turning back on to see if it helps) and the problem still persists.
The noise stays consistently on for the most part, but every once in a while, it will go silent. And then a bit later, it turns back on again. Just recently, The compressor has started to cycle on and off repeatedly. Also, at times, the display panel will not display correctly. It will intermittently flicker and sometimes not come on at all. Then it will go back to normal. Please advise which parts you think are broken and the possible remedy. Thank you.
It is hard to determine exactly which part has failed without knowing where the noise is emanating from. You will want to try to pinpoint where the noise is the loudest. It sounds like it could be a bad fan motor, so you will want to listen for the evaporator fan to check to see if this is the issue or the condenser fan motor. Also listen to see if it is coming from the control panel. If this is the case then the control is what is at fault and would need to be replaced.
