For a couple months we didn't use the dishwasher, last week my wife tried to use it again but nothing turned on. I did check the power source, it's fine but no light on the panel control, nothing just like no power, what going on ?
Answer Phil, Your dishwasher doesn't have thermal fuses or any other type of power circuit safety device. First check should be at the junction box on the front of the dishwasher frame. remove the lower access panel, then the box cover and check the electrical connection and wire nuts to make sure they aren't loose or disconnected. Then remove the inner door liner and check the door latch switches W10130694 make sure they operate and open and close the circuit when the door is closed and latched. Then the issue would be in the control board or the key pad/control panel assembly. When you remove the kickplate and access panel, you should find the tech sheet attached to the back side of the panel in a plastic bag. You can then conduct the manual and or automatic test mode(s) to help determine possible other problems.
The start button will not work. Every other button works.
Answer Hello Michael. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the control panel W10235718 on the unit.
How do you replace the Control Panel for this dishwasher? Are there instructions included with the part? This dishwasher works when it feels like it. Sometimes the lights go on and it won't start and other times its just dead.
Answer Sunshine, You stated "control panel " W10235718 which is most likely the part you need. You need to turn the power to the dishwasher OFF before you start. You'll need to remove all the screws holding the inner door liner to the outer door assembly and separate the doors. Disconnect the wirie harness to the detergent dispenser, and slip the door latch assembly out of the panel. Remove the control board cover(one screw) and disconnect the touchpad assembly ribbon from the control board, then remove the two screws that hold the control board and box to the panel. You should then be able to remove the two screws that hold the handle to the door/control panel and, grasp the ends of the control panel and lift it up and out of the door assembly. Thanks
got power to the top buttons can select wash cycle but the start button will not work, what is wrong
Answer Dan, You most likely have an issue in the control panel, "start" keypad W10235718 . You can remove the lower kickplate and retrieve the tech data sheet and varify the resistance of the keypads with a multimeter, if you wish. Here's some meter usage information : [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Mindy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel W10235718 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
The only selection that lights on the touch pad is the heated dry. I can lock and unlock using this selection however even unlocked no other selection will light and washer will not start. What part do you think I need to order?
Answer Hello Chris. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board. Make sure it is clean and dry. Reinstall the ribbon cable on the control board and make sure it is seated properly. If the problem continues, you will need to replace the control panel W10235721. Hope this helps.
Replacing part # W10169322 ( control board ), does the ribbon tape come off, and how do you remove it?
Answer Hello Chet. Yes, you will need to remove the ribbon cable from the control board. The white connector the cable is seated in, slide forward to release the cable, then insert the cable into the new control board W10226297 and pull the connector back to lock the cable into place.
