My wall oven keeps burning out the control module, W10340935. Every time I try to do the self cleaning. This is the 3rd controller. I have installed. Is there any way to keep this from happening other than manual cleaning?
If the unit burns out the control board every time you put it in a self clean then you may want to look at the installation of the unit. You will want to check to make sure that the flooring inside the cabinet is solid per the installation instructions. The following is the exerpt that explains the support surface: Oven support surface must be solid, level and flush with bottom of cabinet cutout. Floor must be able to support a single oven weight of 123 lbs (55.8 kg) or a double oven weight of 222 lbs (100.7 kg). If these requirements are not met then it will cause an air flow issue that could be causing the control board to burn out from over temp.
What year was this model wall oven made? I have not installed my wall unit but was curious as to how old this oven is. Thanks a million!
Answer Hello Katie! To verify the age of your product we'll need the serial number. Please obtain this information and repost for further assistance. Thanks!
Everything on the control panel of my oven works. The digital display has gotten extremely dim to the point that you have to stand right in front of it almost touching the oven to be able to read the display. What do I need to do? Do I need to replace the control board?
Answer Hello Alan. You will need to order and replace the control board W10438750 on the unit. You will disconnect the power and remove the doors off the unit. Then remove the side trim. Next remove the screw at the bottom of the control panel and lift off the control panel. Now you can access and replace the board in the unit.
