Code F2 E6 is showing. If the keypad is the issue, is it available separately or as part of the control board assembly?
Answer Hello Dave,
F2 E6 indicates the CANCEL key drive line is open. 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection. 2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 sec., replace keypad. 3. Replace control. The keypad 8300428 and the control board W10438751 are two separate parts.
My display went dark but some keypad buttons still beeped. I got the control board from you today and now display works. I get F5 E1 message, followed by E1 F5. Then after a while only F5 stays on the display. I can set the clock but when I hit start it goes back to the F5 display. I'm guessing now you will say I need the keypad. That is a crappy connector for the ribbon connector by the way - I have played with it but no improvement.
Answer Hello Phil,
The F5 E1 fault code is the code indicating the Self-clean latch will not lock/unlock. The tech sheet states the following on this issue: 1. Check the latch assembly: latch arm pivot joint, arm/motor connection, plunger and hook springs. 2. Check the Latch Motor: - Check for firm electrical connections. - Disconnect the two wires from the motor and measure the resistance of the motor. The resistance should be approx. 2450O. If the motor is open (8O) or shorted (0O), it should be replaced. 3. Check the Latch Switch. Disconnect it and use a continuity tester: - Door latched = switch closed, continuity should read 0O. - Door unlatched = switch open, continuity should read 8O.
4. Check Door Open/Closed Switch. Disconnect it and use a continuity tester: - Door open = switch open, continuity should read 8O.
- Door closed = switch closed, continuity should read 0O. 5. Check Sister Board. - Check connections, latch motor – sister board. - Replace sister board. 6. Check power and element connections. 7. Replace control.
