The arm on my ice maker (IC11b) doesn't go all the way down after dumping ice. I read that the spring can be replaced, but is not easy to do. What part or parts do I need to order to fix this problem?
Answer Hello David. You will need to remove the icemaker from the unit and remove the control module from the mold assembly. This is done by removing the screws securing it to the mold and pulling it off. Make sure all parts are installed as they come off the unit.
My ice maker stopped making ice. I checked and we have water up to the fridge. Any ideas would be helpful.
Check the icemaker module to see if the pin in the center gear is broken. If broken this would cause unit to not make ice. Also pull the icemaker out and check for a frozen fill tube. If the fill tube is frozen you will want to replace the water valve.
I would like to install an icemaker in my refridgerator. Will AP3179138 allow me to do this? Will I need additional installatin parts? Does it contain instructions?
Answer Hello Bob,
If your refrigerator does not have an icemaker in it but will accept an optional icemaker then the 4396418 will work. If you already have an icemaker in the refrigerator and need to replace the icemaker then you would need D7824706Q.
