on the ice maker the water overflows when filling the tray and turns into a huge piece of ice in the ice cube tray... What might be the cause of this a valve or does the whole thing need to be replaced.......thanks
You will want to make sure that it is definitely water that is overflowing. Check the fill cup on the icemaker to make sure that there is no ice that is in it which would cause water to overrun. Also check to make sure that the icemaker mold is not leaking or deteriorating. If these check ok and the water is overflowing then the issue would be a water valve in which the valve would need to be replaced.
The arm on my ice maker (IC11b) doesn't go all the way down after dumping ice. I read that the spring can be replaced, but is not easy to do. What part or parts do I need to order to fix this problem?
Answer Hello David. You will need to remove the icemaker from the unit and remove the control module from the mold assembly. This is done by removing the screws securing it to the mold and pulling it off. Make sure all parts are installed as they come off the unit.
