My frig works fine, but will not restart. If I turn off and turn on it will start.
With the issue that you are having, if it occurs every time the unit shuts down then it would most likely be caused by a faulty thermostat. If the issue occurs only about every 8 hours then it could be an issue that the defrost timer is sticking an not allowing the unit to come out of defrost.
Need a picture of how to replace start device on EGY90 compressor.
Answer Hello Tom. There is no picture. You just unplug the unit and pull off the clip and old device from the compressor and press the new one onto the compressor.
My Kenmore stopped running, repairman replaced my relay with a 3in1 relay start capacitor and now nothing works. Did he put something on that was wrong?
This sounds like the repairman either didn't wire the compressor correctly. I would be very careful around the unit until someone checks because if he left the hot wire loose and it contacts the chassis, if the ground isn't attached properly, you could receive an electrical shock. Unplug the unit and have someone check it.
Replacing the starting relay on an kenmore ref. relay / overload #2213106 or #8201769. Could tell me what wires go to what term? Thanks
Answer Hello Tim. Sorry, but we will need the model number and the color of the wires to try and help you install the start device 8201769. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Is there a way to test this part with a DVOM?
Answer Hello Scott. You can do a continuity test on it, but it is better to do a compressor test. Here is a link to our Repair Forum, this is a free service to our customers.
