I am having trouble understanding how this part will attach to the compresser. My compressor has three male parts in a triangular pattern. I do not see three female holes on this replacement part to attach to the compressor. The connecton to the electrical looks similar to the part I took off so no problem there.
Answer Dan, The overload will attach to the top pin of the compressor connection pins, the start relay will attach to the 2 lower pins across from each other on the bottom. Then you'll need to follow the wiring instructions from the part instruction sheet or the wiring diagram for the unit. Good Luck, hope this is helpful.

Had compressor start relay fry and refrigerator would not cool at all. Replaced relay now refrigerator cools but freezer side is at -20degrees and regular side is at 27degrees. Tried adjusting temperature settings to no avail. Any ideas?
This unit uses thermistors to control the temperature in the freezer and refrigerator. With both sides too cold it would most likely be an issue with the control board but test the thermistors first to make sure that they are not bad. The thermistors should have a resistance of 5K ohms at room temperature.
After reading your site I decided that my refrigerator was not cooling due to not being able to start compressor. There was a clicking noise coming from the relay start device. I bought a "start relay" which does not look like the start device at all. Are these 2 different things? Thanks
Answer Hello Cathy,
If the compressor has never been changed in your unit, it will take the 2319792. If the compressor has been changed, you will need the 2262185. Since you ordered the kit, you should use the device that matches the start device on your unit. It will wire the same way and you WILL have parts left over from the kit. (Remember this is a kit that is designed to repair multiple model numbers).
