can you provide disassembly info about fan motor condenser from Maytag RTD1900DAE, I look over the video you provide, still difference w/ maytag, if you can give me some idea to start, i can follow the rest quickly.

Answer Richard, This is what we have, "REPLACING THE CONDENSER FAN MOTOR 1.Disconnect the unit from power source and remove the insulated cover from the rear of cabinet. 2.Disconnect the condenser fan motor lead connector on the motor terminals. 3. Remove the screws that mount the fan motor to the brackets. 4. Transfer the fan blade to the replacement motor making sure it is installed in the same manner as the original. 5. Install the fan motor leads and ground wire. 6. Install those parts previously removed, and test run the unit."
My refrigerator runs all the time, seems to be cooling ok and freezer is working ok, but gets hot on center front. Floor underneath compressor is brown looks as though its scorched.

Answer Hello Betty. Check and see if the condenser fan motor 833697 is running properly and the coils are clean. If not, you will need to clean the coils/replace the fan motor in the unit.
When I had the freezer and refrigerator doors open for about 15 minutes while cleaning it, the middle metal divider piece between the two compartments became extremely hot. Freezer & fridge appear to be cooling.

The center divider will accumulate a lot of heat when the condenser fan motor isn't running or when the hot coils are clogged with lint. Keeping the doors opened doesn't cause this. You just happened to notice it while cleaning the unit. I normally look up the part number, but there are too many model numbers that begin with the partial model number you listed.
You need to look at the fresh food compartment ceiling or close to it and find the units' I.D. tag. You can either post the model number you find and we can look it up for you, or you can call in and one of our operators will be happy to look it up for you. You could also look it up for yourself if that is what you desire.
The freezer is still working but I can smell plastic burning. Is it the motor or is it something else?

This can be a number of things. Look around the light area for any signs of melting plastic. Operate the door switch manually to insure its' normal operation and check by slowly closing the door while looking into the crack. You can use a butter knife or popsicle stick to see if the light is turning off when the door closes.
If this all checks good, now you need to remove the rear wall of the freezer compartment. Look around the bottom of the coils for any plastic liner melting, discoloration, or malforming of same. If this looks good, spin the fan blade by hand. Also, when the unit is running, stop the fan blade in the freezer compartment by hand and see if it starts back up on its' own. If you have to bump the fan blade to get the fan going again, replace the fan motor.
My icemaker stops, the side of the door gets hot. The refrigerator is not as cold. A pool of water on appears on the floor. The condenser fan motor will stop running. The fan turns freely. Most times I can just give it a slight push and it will run for quite a while without stopping. The symptoms will go away until the fan stops running again. Does the fan motor have to be replaced? I can't find the exact model number but the closest is MSD2554ARA.

Let me explain the operation of a refrigerator so it's understandable. Think of it this way. Refrigeration does not make cold. It removes heat. The heat that is removed is carried to the hot coils. If the heat cannot be dissipated, the system cannot get any cooler. When a condenser fan motor stops, the heat that should have been dissipated into the room is trapped in the sealed system and will begin to recirculate. This "backing up" of the heat in the sealed system will first show up, (in a refrigerator), at the yoder loop. This is the part of the sealed system that is looped around the doors to prevent the cabinet from getting cool enough that humidity in the room air can condense on it and cause rust and a puddle in the floor, (like a glass of iced tea on a picnic table will sweat). Any time a fan motor on a refrigerator stops, this is a major glitch in the refrigeration process and the fan motor TJ90SM5109 will have to be replaced to restore normal operation.
Bought this fridge used, it cools and works well, but after only a few months I'm getting mold stains on the wall behind it and the left side sweats and is wet to the touch a lot. No leaks anywhere, the evaporator fan, heater, limit switch, drain, timer, etc. all good. The condenser fan though pulls air from beneath the fridge and blows it out the back, and with this fridge being in a nook, I think it's the moist air from the condensate tray causing this. Is the direction the fan's blowing normal? Thanks, Steve W.

Answer Hello Steve. Yes, the direction is correct. The manufacture recommends that the unit have space to breath and not be in an air tight space due to the condenser fan pulling the warm air out of the unit. If the moisture is coming from that issue, there isn't alot you can do for it.
