The dryer runs but no heat. We have changed the heating element and now the fuse. Any more ideas??
With the dryer running but no heat it would be one of 2 issues since the heating element and the fuse have been replaced. Either the motor switch is bad or the control board is bad. Here is how to test. You will want to unplug the unit from the wall. Access the heating element and disconnect the wire that does not go to the thermostat. This wire will be the feed from the motor switch. Making sure that the wire does not touch any metal you will need to plug the unit back into the wall. Turn the dryer on to a heated dry cycle, then test the loose wire for 120 vac to chassis ground. If there is power present then the motor switch is good. If no power then you will need to trace the wire back to the motor and test at the motor for power into the motor for this line. If there is power replace the motor. If no power then go to the terminal block and check for 240 vac across the outside terminals and if there is not 240 then check power supply. If there is power on the loose wire at the heating element then test the wire that is still connected for 120 vac to chassis ground. If there is not 120 vac then trace back to the control board for 120 vac at the control board to chassis ground. If there is not then the control is faulty.
