MY GE Refridgerator Model No SSH25KFRFWW's ice dispenser is not working. I changed the Augar Motor, The Ice making unit continues to produce Ice and there are ice cubes in the ice Bucket. The Flapper works and the Ice Maker works. When I press the buttons on the front panel of the freezer door, I only get water and no Crushed Ice cubes or full ice cubes. I thing it is the controller board, I am not sure. what can you suggest to test if the controler board is faulty or not?
You will want to check the wire harness at the bottom of the freezer door to make sure that there are no loose or broken connections. If this checks ok then go to the main control board and check from J4-1 to J4-3 for 12 vdc when pushing dispenser on crushed or cubed. If there is no power then the display is bad and if there is power then Check J7-1 to j7-8 for 120 vac when pushing dispenser lever on crushed or cubed. If there is no power then the main control board is faulty.
Light goes on by itself ice & water stops working no burns on board. fyi changed solonoid assm.1 month ago it stuck open and started smoking
Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, either the control board 61003425 or the touch panel is bad and is causing the issue. It sounds more like the board than the pad because it affects all the other functions.
I change the control board. I got water and light, but when I go for the ice, I heard some humming sound and then the control board got burned.
Answer Hello Cwc. Did you replace the fountain kit 12001991 with the control board? If not, you will need to replace the fountain kit as well. Also, check and make sure the auger motor 12001773 is good in the unit. Hope this helps.
Control board on ice and water dispenser went dead.
Answer Dg, First, check the dispenser wiring harness at the bottom freezer door hinge, make sure there are no loose or damaged connections or wires. Then move up to the dispenser assembly, 1. Disconnect the unit from the power source. 2. To remove the grill from the fountain
sump, pull straight out. 3. Remove the two escutcheon mounting screws. 4. Carefully raise the escutcheon up and off the fountain assembly. 5. Disconnect the quick disconnect edge connector from the PC fountain switch board. 6. Remove the three fountain bracket
mounting screws.7. Carefully pull the assembly out of the fountain housing. You now have full access to solenoid, dispenser mechanism,
PC fountain control board and light socket. 8. To repair the assembly, disconnect electrical quick disconnect. You'll need to insoect the printed circuit board for burnt marks, the solenoid for damaged components and loose connections, and the actuator switch(on the back of the assembly) for a circuit and loose connections as well. Thanks and Good Luck.
