The clean light is flashing seven times.
Answer Hello Steve,
This is a heating circuit failure. You should check the heating element, and the high limit thermostat. The other components in the circuit are the control, the door switch and the wiring harness. Be aware that if the unit is not securely fastened to the cabinet, the door switch for the heating circuit may not be making electrically. The unit must be secured in a level configuration so the door switches can make electrical connection properly when the door is closed.
My dishwasher fills with water when we first start it. When it is time to wash it shuts down. We resart it and in runs fine.
This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board for the unit. When the unit shuts down and should be running would sound like a fault with the communication in the board.
I have the flashing green clean light issue. Water is hot, element is good. When I go to the normal wash mode, hit start, I hear the water start flowing into the tub. After 20-30 seconds or so I hear a humming noise, not a chatter like a microswitch trying to close but a humming like a coil or something. I am wondering about the overfill switch, water inlet valve, overflow switch lever. Where do you think I should look first?
Answer Hello Jim,
The flashing light indicates an issue with the heating circuit. You will need to check the door switches, the high limit thermostat under the base of the unit, the heating element, and the control. The only other thing it could be is the harness.
