Dishwasher will continue to run when door is shut. It will run for hours and hours. Washing and extra rinse indicators continue to blink (green light). Depressing any front panel button including washing and extra rinse does nothing for operation of the dishwasher. Dishwashing will only stop washing when door is opened. Request any assistance available.
You will want to check the turbidity sensor as the sensor may be faulty causing the unit to continuously run. To test the sensor, you will need to check at the control board on connector J5 pin 1 to pin 4. The sensor should be 10K at 77 degrees =/- 3% and 2.4K ohms at 140 degrees =/- 6%. When testing the J5 connector pin 1 to 4 0 ohms = closed and infinite ohms = open.
All the lights on the control panel work, I can select any option. I turn the washer on and it starts to wash then stops, it will start back up on its own then stops again. It usually takes 24 to 48 hours to complete a wash cycle. What should I replace?
You will want to check to make sure that the power supply wire to the dishwasher is at least a 12 guage but you could go with a 10 guage. If the wire is too small it could cause it to heat up and cause an over current. You will also want to check to see if the motor is getting constant voltage of 120 vac. If it is then the motor is faulty and if not then the control board is faulty.
Lights on display don't work. Front time display went first, followed a week or 2 later by the rest of the lights. Only the "clean" light will light up when finished. Dishwasher runs normally. What should I check or replace? Dishwasher is a 2004 model.
Answer Bob, You want to start by checking or replacing the control panel/key pad assembly 6-919005. The LED lights and display are a component of the panel. The tech data sheet, should be attached to the back side of the kick plate, you can use the tech sheet and a multi meter to test each button on the keypad, if you wish.
I have dishwasher maytag model mdb9750aws can not unclock control. I need control panel or control board?
Answer Hello John. If the button is not working on the control panel, you will need to order and replace the control panel on the unit. If the button is good, and the unit will not unlock, you will need to order and replace the control board. If you press the button and light goes off and on as a selection, then the button is good and the board is bad.
