Use the self cleaning, oven locked, cant open door and panel is blank.
Answer Hello Mary. It sounds like you need to order and replace the thermal fuse 4451042.
Came home one day and the keypad lights are out. Nothing happens when I push the buttons. Power to unit is OK. Did not use the self-cleaning function.
Answer Carl, Check and reset the breakers to the oven, if you haven't yet. then check the control thermal fuse 4451042 inside the control panel compartment. If it appears broken replace it first. If it's OK, then you'll need the control board 4448876.
I am getting a F2E1 error when the oven tries to power up. The oven attempts to start heating and then beeps and F5 stays on screen. I had the main board replaced 6 months ago. Any ideas on what to do?
The F2 E1 error code is an indication that the keypad tail is not connected. You will want to check the keypad connector for a firm connection. Press cancel and if the error code returns after 60 seconds then replace the control board. The F5 is an door latch issue. This issue could also be caused by the control board.
What those the thermo sensor look like and where is it located?
Answer Hello John. The sensor is inside the oven cavity. It is part number W10131825.
Our 8 year old Whirlpool double over has begun showing us code F3E2, then it goes into locked when we push off. It happens about 10 or so minutes after pre-heat completes. I took a quick guess and replaced the upper oven sensor, but that hasn't helped. I'd guess that the only other cause is the Control Panel, and that if I called a service tech that's what he would do, but it would cost me a whole lot more than just buying the part from you folks. Now paying closer attention to the operation, and using an electronic temperature probe, looks like the broil element in the upper oven doesn't shut off, raising the temperature above 400 (top end range of electronic probe), even though the control board continues to indicate it's at 350. 1. Is there anything else that I should check before ordering the panel? 2. Am I correct in my diagnosis?
Thank you, Ray
Answer Hello Ray,
As per the tech sheet on the unit, if the temperature sensor has been changed, the only other cause of this code is a stuck set of contacts on the control board (AP5272198).
