My oven makes a whirring noise when in use and at cool down. I'm pretty sure it's the upper cooling fan. Do I need to remove the entire oven to replace it or just the upper control panel? Hard to tell from the diagram
Answer Lisa, You'll need to remove the oven from the wall. Disconnect the electrical power to the oven. Remove the side trim from the oven. Remove the four double oven cabinet mounting screws (2 on each side), and pull the oven out of its mounting location so that you can access the back. Remove the upper rear cover from the oven (11 screws). Remove the four screws from the blower cover and remove the cover. Disconnect the two wires from the upper blower motor terminals. Remove the four mounting screws. Reverse the procedure and test the oven and fan for operation.
The control panel will not light up and the oven fan blows all the time.
Answer Hello Gayle,
This sounds like a control board W10197044 failure since both the fan and the display have the control board in common.
MY BLOWER FOR UPPER OVEN IS NOT BLOWING WHICH CAUSE THE OVEN TO CUT OFF WHAT SHOULD I BE REPLACING AND HOW DO I GO ABOUT INSTALLING IT
Answer Hello Bryant,
If your model is actually RBD305PDB12, as per the wiring diagram, if there is no wiring issue, the problem will either be a bad fan motor 4455334 or a bad control board 8302967.
