Are there any wall ovens that do not require a blower fan? What is the quietest fan, if I have to have one?
Answer Hello Nancy. We offer parts and do not sell appliances. You will need to talk to the different manufactures about this issue. Thanks.
Fan stopped working. Oven still cooks just fine but planning on cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving. Any danger of cooking without the fan?
Answer John, No there is little to No "danger" using the oven without the cooling fan operational, It may even work long enough to cook a turkey. I would expect the control panel and control board to get "hot" and in that case, the control may shut down and go blank, or produce an error code. You will need to check for 120 VAC to the cooling fan motor when yopu program a bake or broil cycle. If the voltage is present, the control board is OK, and you need the blower assembly 4455334, if no voltage is present, you'll need the control board W10340935.
My blower won't spin and it makes a humming noise. Could it be gummed up with grease in the area or does it need to be replaced?
Answer Hello Amy. This design fan gave Whirlpool an issue, thus the kit 4455334. It has been changed to resolve the problem so if you install the kit, the issue shouldn't reoccur. Have a great day!
The cooling fan is making a noise like a piece of paper is touching the fan. It is intermittent. We noticed this with the upper oven, but switched to the lower oven and it made the same noise. Ap3079434 is shown as the blower cooling kit. Does my unit have one or two cooling fans? I do not want to order if it might be due to a piece of debris.
I would appreciate any input from the pros.
Answer Hi Lou. Unfortunately the upper oven convection fan cover bolts will come loose and cause the cover to rattle. Remove the racks and door and check this first. If this is not it, check the fan blade nut and see if it is tight. The nut is part # 4452227. If the fan blade got bent, it is part # 4452226. Now concentrate on the blower fan issue. You need to remove te power and support the unit on a couple of chairs or solid stands. You will need to remove the top cover and see if that fan is making noise as you freely spin it. As if the bearings are bad or a blade is bent. The upper fan assy. comes with a kit that helps isolate the vibrations. It comes w/instructions. Then have someone help support the unit and lean the unit on its back to see if the bottom is bent up into the fan. It is common that during an install it is unknown that the fan is at the bottom. The unit by nature is very heavy and gets accidentally set down just hard enough to induce a issue. If not immediate, it will show up in the future. The bottom fan is part # W10016550. Thank You.
My fan does not come on when using oven, causing panel to go dim (I assume from heat) I've replaced the cooling fan but it is still not working. What else could it be??
Answer Hello Roy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board 8302994 is bad and will need to be replaced. This will also keep the fan from running. Hope this helps.
I have checked the fan and it reads 25 ohms. The tech data says it should read 10-15 ohms. Is this good or bad?
Answer Hello Becky. Based on the ohms reading, it sounds like the fan kit 4455334 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
