My Whirlpool washer after the wash cycle before the rinse cycle it stops and if I hit the lid it will start. Then after the rinse cycle the same thing happens. Also my timer sometimes if I put it on the normal cycle it will agitate and fill at the same time. Help !
With the issue of the unit stopping before the rinse and after the rinse you will want to check the hinge of the lid and make sure that it is making good contact with the lid switch. Also check the lid switch to make sure that it is good. The other thing would be that the timer has a contact sticking which sounds like the second issue that you are having with the unit.
Why when it is set on cold water the hot water turns on.
Answer Hello Sidney. This model uses a thermistor and no matter the setting will use hot to break down the soap in the unit. Even on the cold cycle.
Washer pumps full of water and agitates and stops at rinse cycle. I can hear it buzz if I turn to say spin and will not drain ...Please help
Answer Hello WNR. If there is power on both the agitate and spin terminal of the motor, the timer is bad and will need to be replaced. If not, the motor is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
After the wash cycle is done and in the off position water starts to run in again. None of the positions do what their positioned on now.
Answer Hello Dick. Based on the information you provided, the sensor switch W10248240 and timer W10243947 will need to be replaced. These work together and cause this issue.
When I start my wash cycle, my washing machine starts washing before it puts the water on. Does any one know why ??
Answer Hello Helen. I f the unit is not filling and is agitating, you will need to order and replace the temp switch W10248240 on the unit.
