The refrigerator leaks water onto the floor in front of the freezer. There is no water in the refrigerator or freezer, only on floor. The water is there every few days, not constantly. We think the defrost pan may have a crack and would like to know how to remove it. Do you think this could be the problem? The crack is near the top of the pan and we think once it fills up to the crack the water then leaks onto the floor.

My drip pan is cracked on my refrigerator. When I look up the model number it comes up with a Whirlpool part. I am wondering if these are universal or am I searching the wrong part? The part number I am searching for is 842041 for a Kenmore 106.58502801.

I think the drip pan is cracked. What is the best way to remove and replace. You mention 'tilt' the fridge, which way and how much? Or lower the base, but how much? And what do I need to do for my model? Thank you. JC

Ive noticed lately that my freezer defrosts once in a while and drips water all the way down to some sort of pan. I have pulled the fridge out a couple times and there is no sign of any leaks. Is this normal for this refrigerator model and if so, where does this water drain to once its in the pan?

Hello, I have the same issue as many I can see under this model. There is nothing touching the drainage tube and I keep pouring about a cup hot water down the drain. only little comes out the rest is in bottom of crisper. I ordered already AP3108454 (4387503) Bimetal defrost AP2984369 (2183400) Timer but the fridge and freezer are cooling ok. How can I clear if this is a lower blockage?
