When changing the soap dispenser, what tools do I need, and on a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to change? My wife wants me to have it done, but I'd rather do it myself.

Answer Hello Mike. These are not to hard to change, mabey a 4. You will need the proper screwdriver for the door liner screws and pliers to remove the wires from the dispenser. Disconnect the power, and remove the inner door panel. Remove the wires going to the dispenase and the screws holding it in place. Reinstall in revers order. Hope this helps.

Detergent dispenser door will not stay closed. The rubber seal around the dispenser door looks bad.

If the rubber seal is bad or the latch is bad you will have to replace the dispenser assembly 8558129. These parts come as an assembly and are not available separately.
If there are only electric wires that attach to the soap dispenser, how does the rinse aid enter the rinse cycle?

The mechanism can be compared to a ratcheting device. The first time voltage is applied, the soap lid will open. The next time, the rinse aid dispenser will activate. It goes back and forth like this each time the dispenser is activated.
