I am looking to replace a washer motor 8528157 with a motor 8529935. Will this work? Thank you.
We would need the model number of your unit to determine which motor you will need. There may be differences between these two motors. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
If the 3 white knubs on the side of the transmission where the motor coupler slips onto is hard to turn, does that mean that the transmission needs to be replaced?
Answer Hello Help please,
You should be able to turn the coupler one direction easily and see the shaft doing agitation and when you turn the other direction it will be harder to turn but will turn about 3/4 of a turn then the neutral drain will lock into place. If it will not spin in either direction then the transmission will have to be replaced.
The waser won't agitate slow in delicate. the washer said two speed on front console. Tec data sheet w10199994 has no cam chart and shows start to hi onley no low . motor comes back to to speed. will timer fix problem.
Answer Don, No, replacing the timer will not solve the issue. Your basically on track. The wiring diagram indicates you have a "single" speed motor, with an intermittent soak/agitate in the gentle cycle. Your washer is working as designed. We'll be sending you the complete wiring diagram with the cam chart, pay close attention to switch 10 and 14 on the chart.
