We have a build up of scum that we can't get rid off. I've tried vinegar, a citric acid and still have scum building up. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Linda. You will need to scrub the scum off the gasket first. Then use less soap to prevent any more from building up on the gasket.
Our dishwasher is leaking water out of the right side of the door approx 2/3 of the way down.
Answer Hello Barbara,
Sounds like you need to replace the door seal on unit. You will also want to make sure that your spray arms are not cracked or clogged.
Have a COLORIC Dishwasher Mod. no. is CDU510C-66B. Need a replacement for a gasket but no longer available. Is there some other gasket that will do the job?
Answer Hello Rose! Unfortunately, the door gasket 2450-0025 discontinued with no further replacements or cross references available and our company is unaware of any other available sources. Sorry about that!
The door gasket appears to be OK, but the dishwasher is leaking. Actually it is dripping on the bottom right hand corner. Could it be something other than the door gasket?
Answer Hello Donna. Check and make sure there is not to much soap inside the tub assembly. Try running the dishwasher empty and open the door and see if there is alot of suds inside the unit. If so, the suds are causing the unit to leak. If there is no suds, you will need to remove the toe panel and see if the water is leaking from the gasket. You can use a flashlight to watch for the leak and see where it is coming from. If the gasket is leaking, replace the gasket 902894. Hope this helps.
I HAVE PURCHASED A GASKET FOR MY DISHWASHER BECAUSE IT LEAKS CAN YOU EXPLAIN IN DETAIL HOW TO REMOVE THE OLD GASKET AND REPLACE THE NEW ONE. IM NOT VERY GOOD AT REPAIR AND AM LOOKING FOR ALL THE HELP I CAN GET AND TRYING TO SAVE A SERVICE CALL
Answer Cliff, It's a simple procedure, first, make a note or mark the tub at the ends of the gasket on the bottom of the tub opening. Grasp the end of the gasket on either side of the tub and slowly pull the gasket out of the channel formed in the tub front. Start at one end/side of the tub and press the new gasket into the channel, Do Not, stretch or twist the new gasket during the installation and you want to use a small , flat metal or plastic tool to press in and firmly install and seat the gasket in the channel. Good Luck and Thanks
part 826937 is not the problem. the black rubber strip is on the edge of the bottom of the diswasher, where it meets the door. It sits under the dish rack, it touches the bottom of part 826937, when the door is closed. any idea where i can get a strip of black rubber?
Answer Marie, We have reviewed several similar model numbers, looking for a loweer door or tub seal, we were unable to cross reference a part for you. You may want to take a sample with you to a local hardware or home improvement center or auto parts store and see if they can assist you. Thanks and Good Luck
