I ordered this part for my model and my original part W10224429 and this new part (W10195172) isn't showing to install the same way. the wires are different and it doesn seem to be able to hook up the same. Thanks
Answer Hello Charles,
The rinse aid level sensor has been eliminated so the wires to the sensor are not connected to anything. The wires for the dispenser door actuator, (two brown wires P11-10 and P11-8), are still used.
I need to replace the detergent dispenser part W10224429 for a kenmore model 66513213k901. Do replacement instructions come with the part.
Answer Hello Ozze. No, the manufacturer does not provide instructions. It is a pretty easy job though. Start by removing the screws that hold the inner door in place. Make sure that the power is off to the unit. Lift inner door and take the screws out that hold the dispenser in position. Remove the dispenser and install new in reverse. The screws for the door are normally #20 torx and the dispenser screws are 1/4".
Kenmore Elite 66513789k603 dishwasher dispenser does not open during the wash cycle. Just installed a new dispenser but it still does not open. When we opened the dishwasher up to replace it, we noticed that the thin liner coverning the back of the dispenser was melted near the location of the plug (about a quarter size burn hole). What do I need to replace now?
Answer Hello Shana,
This indicates an over current situation which is caused by excessive resistance in the circuit. Trace and check for problems in the harness and replace the terminals on the end of the wires if necessary. The dispenser W10195172 will have to be replaced again, this can be done under the part warranty if purchased from appliancepartspros.com within the past 365 days. The control W10084141 may also require replacement since the power supply on the board can be damaged from excessive current flow. This output can be tested using the time chart to determine the time the circuit will be energized and the wiring diagram which shows the dispenser is attached to pins P11-8 and P11-10 on the board. All of this is laid out on the tech sheet to include the wiring diagram. The tech sheet is located in a plastic bag on the back of the kick panel.
