I need to replace the detergent dispenser on the door panel. The part number is: AP4434690 . The MFG Part Number is:
W10224431 . Is it easy for me do the replacement myself or do I need to call in a repair person?
Rob for Model Number kudk03ctss3
Answer Rob, It's not that difficult a repair, and you should be able to perform the repair if you have the "basic" skills and tools needed. Just remember to remove power to the dishwasher( breaker box) first, remove all the "torx" screws holding the inner door panel to the outer door assembly and separate the panels, disconnect the wires from the dispenser solenoid and remove the six(6) screws holding the dispenser and bracket to the door liner. Carefully push the dispenser out the door opening and into the tub. Reverse the procedure, and test the dishwasher and detergent cup operation.

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher Model No. KUDMO3FTSS and a dishwasher detergent model no. W10224431. I have added a wrong detergent solution instead of jet dry.
My question is how do I remove the soapy detergent solution from the dishwasher detergent dispenser. Thank you for your help.
Mel
Answer Hello Mel,
In order to get the soapy detergent out of the dispenser rinse aid you will have to pull the dispenser off the door and flush the dispenser out. To do this you will have to remove the lower screws from the door panel and pull the door front panel off. Once off there will be screws holding the dispenser assembly in place.

It looks like I have to buy the whole detergent dispenser unit. Is this something I can replace myself without too much hassle, or am I going to be doing some major reconstruction?
Martha for Model Number KUDL03FVSS4
Answer Hello Martha! No, it isn't that hard of a job to do. You will need to remove the inner door panel screws and remove the inner door panel. Remove the screws holding the dispenser and remove any wiring. Install the new dispenser in reverse order. Thanks.

I've noticed that the door, or something at the bottom of it, snaps when I open it. I also noticed that the dispenser doesn't open sometimes when the snapping happens. Are the two related? Does replacing the dispenser seem to be appropriate or would just fixing the snap (whatever that might be) fix both problems?
Mars for Model Number KUDS30IVWH2
Answer Hello Mars,
The two are not going to be related. The snap noise when the door is opened is going to be part of the door hinge or door spring contacting the cabinet and will probably be corrected by adjusting the units' installation in the cabinet. The dispense door not opening will most likely be corrected by replacing the dispense assembly W10195174.

The soap dispenser door doesn't open automatically. I replaced it (the second one in a year) that ran a complete cycle without putting any detergent in the dispenser and it still didn't open ?
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Harry
Harry L. for Model Number KUDM03FTSS3
Answer Hi Harry. You need to use the supplied diagnostic tech. sheet (in the toe kick) to put the unit into a self diagnostic mode to see if there are any fault codes? It will allow codes to pop up and tell you which circuit failure is connected in the wiring circuit. Not only will the board and the device might have issues, the wiring or connections may have the issue. So be care full as the terminals in the connectors have spread apart and not making contact or they are mis connected one wire over on the board. The tech. sheet will allow you to look closely at the wires affected. Also a common Issue will over look the fact that a loading procedure will stick something in the way of the dispenser door being blocked. Follow the wires from the board to the dispenser to make sure the wire is not open or mis routed and pinched creating a direct short instead of passing the voltage or neutral path to the device. Control board part # W10084141. Dispenser part # W10195174. Thank You.

Will this dispenser fit my dishwasher model ADP755? Thanks.
Larissa for Model Number Whirpool ADP 755
Answer Larissa, the model given seems to be an international dishwasher. Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding international models. I would suggest contacting Whirlpool directly to verify parts used on your appliance. Sorry about that!

Replaced soap dispenser panel and dishwasher now leaks at bottom. Had to take door off to replace this panel. Any suggestions why it leaks?
Mich for Model Number KUDS40FVSS
Answer Hello Mich. When you removed the inner door panel to install the dispenser W10195174, it sounds like the inner door panel was not installed correctly on the install. You will need to loosen the screws and make sure the inner panel is straight and is not in a bind. This will cause the door to leak. Also, make sure the bottom door seal is not turned and causing the unit to leak. Hope this helps.
