Hello I have a Amanda quite series 300 (model MDBM601AWS) and I've been reading some threads here about other people having similar problem with this washer leaving a few inches of water on the bottom of the washer after loads. So I Order a new drain pump part number (6-917641) it came today installed it and it still doing the same problem. I also checked the drain hoes if it's cloged but it's fine, so does anyone here Have Solution please help. Thanks
Answer Hello Toan303. Check and see if the water in the drain pipe is backing up and not allowing the dishwasher to drain out the water. If so, you will need to clean out the drain pipe. If the sink is draining fine, and is not backing up, you will need to replace the drain hose 99002652 on the unit. Before replacing the drain hose, remove it from the sink and drain the unit into a bucket and see if the water comes out strong. If not, and the pump is running, the drain hose will need to be replaced.
The water wasn't draining, so we purchased a new pump. Now when we plug it in, the pump runs all the time. What could the problem be?
Answer Hello Gene. Check and make sure the float is not stuck and the switch for the float is good and not causing the pump 6-917641 to stay on. Hope this helps.
The drain pump appears to be leaking. How you replace it, does it just push in? I noticed there was silicon sealer around the flange where it attaches to the tub.
Answer Hello Mike. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Hope this helps.
The Drain Pump will drain water from the Dishwasher in
various cycles. If a failure is suspected, the entire Pump
Assembly needs to be replaced.
1. Disconnect power to the machine.
2. Remove Support and Toe Panel. (See paragraph Front
Support and Toe Panel removal).
3. Disconnect lead wire from Pump Assembly.
4. Disconnect drain hose from Pump Assembly.
5. Remove Torx™ screw through bushing in Pump
6. Rotate Pump Assembly to unlock from Tub.
Dishwasher washes, but it will not drain. Does that mean I just need the drain pump assembly, or do I need other parts with it?
Answer Hello Steven. You will need to check and make sure the pump and the drain hose is not clogged. If they are clear and your getting power to the pump, then you will need to change the pump assembly. Hope this helps.
