My dish washer drain pump stopped working. I replaced with part # 6-917641. Once I connect the power, the drain pump started running. Initially I thought, there might be some water inside and it's attempting to drain. The drain pump sound is there always. When I start a cycle, I hear water gushing sound and motor starting sound. At the end of the cycle, there is no water inside. That means drain pump is working. However it's not stopping at the end of the cycle. I have to leave the door open or cut the power to turn off pump. So far I ran two( 2) complete cycles. Once without any dishes and next time with dishes. The dishes are not cleaned. What could be the problem? Are there any diagnostics, I can perform? Thanks in advance.

My dishwasher fails to drain usually on the last drain cycle about once every 3 weeks, between those 3 weeks it operates fine. I have checked the tank, drainage pump, drainage hose and filters and all are clean and the hose has no kinks in it. One time that it failed to drain I happened to be close by and I could hear a sound of a motor but water was not draining into the sink.

I am having trouble with my Maytag Model MDB7600AWW dishwasher. When I put the machine on after about 1 minute it shuts down. I find the tray inside is filled with water. When I try a second time the same thing happens. However, on the third try the machine runs fine. At the end of the wash there is no water in the tray. This pattern has been happening for about a week now. What should I try?

Purchased drain pump from your company. Does it matter how it is pluged in? Gray and black wire on a harness.

Dishwasher motor is running but dishwasher doesn't fill up. A small amount of soapy water comes up around the drain under the round screen in the middle of the washer floor which I removed. Could the problem be a pump or some part of a pump?

I have maytag quiet serries 300 and it began to smoke and it would flip the breaker. It finally stopped smoking and flipping the breaker but now it won't drain. Not sure if it's the drain pump? I checked the little air vent on top of the sink and it's clean. What could it be?

A little while into the wash, the dishwasher starts making a groaning noise and doesnt seem to be moving much water through the sprayarms, and leaves sand size residue on dishes. After checking obstructions inside the unit, blocked spray arms, etc, I noticed that water was slowly emptying out of the drain into the disposer while it washed. I pulled the unit out to make sure the drain hose traveled up high before it entered the disposer; it does. I snaked the hose to make sure there was nothing partially blocking it, causing a vacuum; nothing. While I had the drain hose off, I wiped the flapper and the area where it seats even though those areas were clean, after which I ran a cycle and it performed perfectly. But the next cycles, it was back to not performing, and draining out during wash. Any suggestions?
