Lonnie for Model Number 665.13883k800
Answer Lonnie, You'll need to remove the drain pump 8558995, and check for a clog or debris in the drain chamber of the sump assembly, and check the vanes on the impeller, they could be damaged and not moving the drain water.
It fills just fine. when filling is finished, all I hear is a hum from the motor/pump area. What"s wrong?
Chris for Model Number KUDKO3ITBL2
Answer Chris, It could be as simple as something stuck in the impeller 8193951 or chopper assembly 8268383 It could also be a failed motor W10239404, but check for a "jammed" impeller first.
My dishwaher will not drain following a wash. The problem has been intermittent for the past couple weeks, getting worse now. I pulled what I believe to be the drain pump, 8565839, and the shaft rotates freely, but catches every 180 degrees of rotation. Is that normal, or should it spin with no resistance.
Brett for Model Number Kenmore Elite, Model 665-13423K701
Answer Hi. Disconnect the drain hose under the sink. Use a screwdriver in the sink connection to see if it is clogged there. Or if there is a vacumm break on the sink open it there as well to make sure the hoses are not clogged there. Make sure the drain hose has a looped section mounted as far up under the sink to form a p-trap and make sure the rest is connected taut down towards the sink connection as well. Disconnect the drain hose at the pump and look for stuck debris. Remove the lower track aqdn the top of the motor/sump top filters. Clean all traps, impeller and the chopper blade. Replace the chopper blade if damaged causing your issue. Make sure the drain pump has resistance and each terminal is not shorted againdst the motor laminations. The motor terminals have to be tight connected. The armature has physical resistance that oposses each spin naturally just as long as the armature does not drag or is water logged. If so replace the pump part # 8558995. Thank You.
Our dishwasher draines fine but over a period of 2-3 days the bottom fills with gray water. is there a valve that stops drain water from seeping back into the unit? Or is it a bad pump?
Doug for Model Number GU2600xtpt3
Answer Hello Doug. The model number you provided, does use a check valve 8268375. However, most of the time when something like this happens, it is due to the plumbing in the home is clogged and causing the issues. If the check valve is still there and looks good, the plumbing is the issue with the unit.
The drain pump is it screwed in or do you twist it out? thank you
Rich for Model Number kudp021rwh2
Answer Hello Rich. You will release the tab and twist the drain pump 8558995 out of the sump assembly. Hope this helps.

During the wash cycles and maybe the rinse cycles the water can be heard splasing around and thus cleaning but there is a loud buzz/hum during the entire cycle. It seems to originate from the lower right area when facing the dishwasher. What can I replace that will eliminate that loud noise?
Steve S. for Model Number DU1100XTPQ7
Answer Hi Steve. We are in the parts selling business along with helping customers repair as best as we can. Take the lower kick plate off and remove power. Remove the pump intake and use a shop vac to clean up water. Unhook the drain hose from the sink also and clean both areas. If the pump impeller is spinning loose on the shaft then you will need to replace the pump. Part # is 8558995. Then remove the racks and clean from the top wash arms down. Clean the filter / pump and impeller chopper blade. This will help take the stress off while washing. Make sure the 4- legs are touching the floor as the unit is level also front to bak and side to side. Thank You.
