Had Sears service come in due to loud noise when operating DW, said the motor is shot (due to hard water?) Said I needed new motor & pump to the tune of $385. Is this an easy repair? Do you know of any manuals? Thanks

My dishwaher will not drain following a wash. The problem has been intermittent for the past couple weeks, getting worse now. I pulled what I believe to be the drain pump, 8565839, and the shaft rotates freely, but catches every 180 degrees of rotation. Is that normal, or should it spin with no resistance.

Our dishwasher draines fine but over a period of 2-3 days the bottom fills with gray water. is there a valve that stops drain water from seeping back into the unit? Or is it a bad pump?

My dishwasher has been blowing the bimetal fuse which i replaced a couple of times now. It worked for a week the blew again. It stops all the time at the end during the drain cycle. I checked the ohms on the drain pump and it reads 23-25ohms and diagram says it should be 16.8. Could this be causing the fuse to blow? All other reading checked out ok.

My dishwasher does not drain completely at the end of any cycle. I have pulled the drain pump out and it is clean. Turned pump on while I had it out, running fine. Drain lines are not clogged. I ran the dishwasher with the drain hose disconnected from my plumbing and had the hose in a bucket. At the end of the wash cycle the drain pump comes on and water slowly comes out of the hose, but the cycle turns off before the dishwasher has drained completely. If I push the drain button after the cycles shuts the dishwasher down, then the water will slowly pump into the bucket and drain the water out. What could it be besides the pump just not strong enough to get enough pressure to push the water out?

During the wash cycles and maybe the rinse cycles the water can be heard splasing around and thus cleaning but there is a loud buzz/hum during the entire cycle. It seems to originate from the lower right area when facing the dishwasher. What can I replace that will eliminate that loud noise?
