What's the rpm for this motor?
Guest
Answer Hello, Most washer motors have an RPM of 1,725. Unfortunately we don't have the exact specs for this specific motor. Hope this helps!

Stared washer on speed cycle 1/2 way thru the wash, after the first spin cycle the washer stops and display F6 error code. I test tested the motor and have 7 ohm at each terminal. Tested the techometer I have 125 ohm. The wire harness is good. Is there anyway of checking the MCU. Or can you suggest any other solution.
Vic for Model Number 11045089402
Answer Vic, The F6 error code on your unit indicates a communication error between the MCU 8182706 on the base of the washer cabinet and the CCU 8182689 attached to the top of the cabinet, under the top panel. Check and make sure there are no loose wire connections between the motor and MCU and the MCU and the CCU. The issue is most likely in the MCU, but when you remove the the lower front access panel you'll find the Tech Data Information Sheet, and can conduct the diagnostic and motor tests to verify. Thanks
ERROR CODE F11 MOTOR WONT RUN
William D for Model Number 11045087404
Answer William, The F11 error code indicates there's a communication error between the CCU 8182689 and the MCU 8182706 or failed motor 8182793. It usually winds up being a faulty MCU, but you need to check for any loose connections between the two control boards, and the motor. Then check the motor winding resistances with a multimeter ( on the motor check pin 1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3 and pin 2 to pin 3 and should have the same resistance on all the checks, approximately 6 ohms.) If all checks OK, replace the MCU. Here's some meter usage information, should you need it [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] Good Luck and Thanks
I get error code F6. Tub won't spin. I opened the front panel and the front shock absorber is broken and detached. The motor sounds like it is trying to spin but won't. If I replace the shock will that put the tub in alignment and allow it to spin?

Answer Hello Mike. Remove the belt from the washer and turn the tub assembly by hand. If it feels tight, then the shock could repair the unit. If it is not binding, then you may have another issue. Also, you can test the motor 8182793 without the belt hooked up and see if the motor works without the belt installed. Hope this helps.
One of the wires came loose from the drive motor wiring plug. Can I reattach it or how can I get just that part of the harness? Thank you.
Ada for Model Number 110.47086600
Answer Hello Ada,
The part number for the harness is 8183188. The wire can be put back in only if it can be crimped into place as the vibration of the units' normal operation will cause it to come right back out. If the metal connector came out of the molex connector, the locking tab can be bent back out and the connector reinserted into the molex connector.
im getting the f6 error, and my washer wont spin.. how do i tell if the drive motor is bad? how do i check the drive motor to see if it is bad?
Christina for Model Number ghw9150pw1
Answer Christina, The motor on these particular units are pretty dependable, and do not have too many issues. But you will need a multi meter, to test the windings and the tach circuit , Disconnect the wire harness from the motor, there will be five(5) terminals , you will need to check resistance from pin 1 to pin 2, pin 2 to pin 3 and pin 1 to pin 3, You should have a resistance reading of 3 to 6 ohms, and all three readings, should be the same. You should read a resistance of 115 to 125 ohms resistance from pin 4 to pin 5 (tach circ.) If all the readings are in range, the motor is OK and you will most likely need the MCU 8182706 but check for any loose wires and connections from the motor to the MCU, and from the MCU to the CCU in the upper protion of the cabinet, first. Thanks and Good Luck
Do you need special tool to remove the motor?
Rodel for Model Number WHIRLPOOL GHW9100LW1
Answer Hello Rodel. No, the motor 8182793 is attached with bolts and can be removed with a wrench and socket set. Hope this helps.
