My dryer is making very loud squeaking noises when running. It stops for a while during a cycle but will start at random times again. Is there a dryer repair kit for this model and if not, what parts should I order and replace. Thanks much!
The most common cause for the loud squeaking noise would be faulty rollers for the drum. You will want to check the shafts also to make sure that there is no damage but the rollers are normally the cause. The part number for the rollers are 4392067.
Maytag modle sde4606ayw. Drum is not turning properly &clumps cloths together. If we lessen the load to about 1/2 the norm it will work i have already replaced the belt. Should i replace only the rear drum rollers or is there a kit for axel & roller replacement all @ once?
Also I see there is a front roller should it be replaced as well?
Answer Dudley, the rollers aren't going to be the issue, unless they make nosie, Youmamy want to check, clean, and lubriacte the shaft and roller bearings. You do want to check the tumbler RPM, place a piece of tape on the end of one of the baffles, select air dry/fluff and hold the door switch closed and start the dryer The drum should rotate at 50 RPM(+/- 2) If the RPM is in range, you'll need to review the loading instructions for the dryer, and / or install a Baffle Kit 12002559 to reduce the bunching up of the articles.
My kenmore clothes dryer making a squeaking noise. How can I fix this , what parts have to be replaced . thanks
The most common problem with squeaking noise on dryers is the rollers being bad. You will want to check the rear drum rollers and check the idler pulley to make sure that they are not dragging.
