Dryer was making noise at beginning of cycle. Changed drum rollers(both). Dryer still making noise. Idler arm and belt appear to be in good shape. Any suggestions?
Jim for Model Number NDE8805AYW
Answer Jim, Noise at the start of a cycle is usually due to a worn belt 40111201, an overloaded situation, or a "cold" environment. Reduce the size of your loads (less than half full) and replace the belt.
The drum glides are gone, and front felt is worn. Do I need to replace both and can it cause the drum when running scrub and make racket?
Patricia for Model Number SDE3606AYW
Answer Hello Patricia. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the glides 37001298 and the seal 37001132 will need to be replaced on the unit.
Does the dry need the drum glides, and if not replaced will it make a scrubbing noise?
Patricia
Answer Hello Patricia. You will need to check and see if the glides are worn on the unit. If so, then you will need to replace the drum glides 37001298. If not, then they should be fine on the unit. You can not determine this without checking the glides.
I need the part that these glides actually fit on, are these sold as well?
Marcia for Model Number PLE8517W2
Answer Hello Marcia. The bulk head 501570WP that these attach to has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Thanks.
The placement of the dryer drum glide, it appeared to be broken, so I am not sure how they go back?
Matt for Model Number nde2335ayw
Answer Hello Matt. The "T" side goes in the wide slot and twist to lock into place, and the other end slides into the small slot on the bracket. Hope this helps.
