My Maytag Centennial sounds off balance, like a tennis shoe is drying. I replaced rear drum rollers, but it still sounds the same.

In replacing dryer drum glides, are you supposed to apply 1 or 2 glides on each side of the front bulkhead? It appears that there were 2 initially on each side, but I'm thinking you're only supposed to apply 1 on each side? (Maybe the thickness of the glides was increased/changed so you it's now 1 each side?) Thanks in advance.

There is a loud squealing noise for the first 5 to 10 minutes when I turn my dryer on. At the middle and end of cycle it is quiet. I have replaced both rear drum rollers and have checked the belt and there is no wear. Checked the idler wheel and no noise. Also checked the blower wheel and no noise. Do you have any other suggestions for me to test?

When operating, the dryer was making all sorts of loud noises. I replaced the cylinder rollers and everything was quiet for about a month. Now the same type noise is back. I think I may need to replace the drum glides. It looks like a new drum glide is about 1/8" thick. I won't be able to measure mine until I get home from work. Do they wear over time? Do I need to replace the felt pads and glide brackets at the same time? I'm also thinking since I have the dryer apart, I'll replace the idler pulley and belt too. Was there a design change for this unit? When I replaced the rollers there were bellville type washers on both front and back of the roller. Now the part print just shows a flat washer(s). What is the proper assembly? Do you have any other suggestions.

I replaced the Drum Glides, however when I put it all back together, it seems like the drum is fairly tight or shall I say too tight. It turns, but takes effort. If I leave the front bulkhead off and turn the drum, it is rotating freely. There was adhesive tape that was under the original glides, which I left on and wonder if I should have removed it.

The dryer was making a horrible noise. We realized that the drum started to wear through the metal on the front of the dryer not the door. After looking at your site I took the front off and say that the front bearing/plastic was broken. Before I took everything off I could actually push the drum backwards. So I was wondering if I should get front bearing rear and the felt with guide. Anything else? Thanks.

Dryer was making noise at beginning of cycle. Changed drum rollers(both). Dryer still making noise. Idler arm and belt appear to be in good shape. Any suggestions?
