Hello, Today my dryer was working fine, after 3 dryer loads I went to check on the clothes & they were cold & still wet. There is no heat coming out, we looked and the igniter continues to glow on every cycle it's just no heat only cold air? HELP please, what could it be? What part? Thank you!

My Kenmore gas dryer does not heat up. I see the burner, light up for a second, then a pop and the light goes out. Everything else works fine, but no drying of clothes. What can I do to fix this? Can I repair this myself?...If not, how much do you think this would cost me?

My problem is that igniter goes out before the gas ignites. If I blow a little air in the gas will travel to the igniter and light but then it will go out. I have tested everything twice. My gas valve coils test fine except for terminal 4 to5 they are running at 1525 ohms instead of the 1300 ohms as seen. Do I need to get a new gas valve assembly? Is there a way to test the assembly. THANK YOU!!!

I need the two coils for the gas valve assembly on this dryer. The wire are molded directly into each coil. There are not any plug-in terminals on the coils. Do you have replacement coils for this gas valve? If not, can your new gas valve assembly Part 279894 be used on this dryer?

I've checked all the sensor for connectivity and found all okay. I've checked the burner sensor connectivity and found it okay. The igniter glows but I have no flame. I suspect the gas coils. What is the part number, how much does it cost, and how easy is it to replace?

Turn on dryer and everything works, blower, drum spins after approximately 30 seconds the igniter glows hear a click and see flames and flame stays on about 4 minutes and the goes off. When next heating cycle begin igniter glows hear a click but no flames. The flame comes back on but only when completely cold.

I also have a Whirlpool dryer, circa 1977, with the exact same scenario as Jim M., where the assembly would initially fire fine with the old coils the first time, but not thereafter. After replacing the old coils with new,the igniter would glow, but this time without fire at all. I returned the new coils before checking the part # (they appeared to be identical) and wondered later if that may have had something to do with the above scenario or could possibly installing the new coils in reverse order have been the problem? I am now wondering if part # 279137 could sufficiently replace the old coils?

I have a Whirlpool gas dryer (over 20 years old) model #LG6901XKW0. Situation: the dryer gas would ignite the first time the dryer was started but, further ignition of the gas will not start. The glow is present, but the gas coils may not be letting any more gas out. I bought a new Gas Valve Coil Assembly Kit and installed. Now NO ignition occurs, not even the first time the dryer is turned on. The glow is still present. When installing your new part, the 3-pin to 4-pin adaptor was not needed, as the 3-pin connection matched the dryer's 3-pin (2 wires, red and blue) power connection. The red and black wires going to the glow bar did need the old harness plastic connector, so I did splice the black to black and red to red using your supplied wire ties. Thanks for your help, Jim

My dryer doesn't heat up, upon taking the back panel off, I saw the igniter glowing but there was no flame. Do you think I would need a new coil or a new regulator to solve this problem?

Heats up at first but then the flame goes out. Most info I've read points to replacing the Coil Assembly. The manual parts lists them as Coil Assembly (Main), Coil Assembly (Hold) and Coil Assembly (Assist. What is the correct part for this repair? Does this sound like the correct fix?
