The dryer was running and clicked off about 1 hour later I put towels in and it will not start. When you push the start button nothing happens no click no nothing. If you push the button in the door the light goes off. Could it be the start button or the Door switch or the Thermal fuse?

What multi-meter tests (or other) will determine if an electric motor is bad. The (dryer) motor actually runs if the start button is held "in" but not otherwise. This switch, door switch, and thermal fuse all check OK for continuity.

Dryer will only run (tumble) if start switch is held in. Does this mean the switch is bad and must be replaced? Or is there another problem that causes the dryer to stop when the start switch is released? Thanks for your help.
