Do you carry a replacement part for this?
Answer Hello Aaron. Sorry, we do not sell parts for this brand.
When and if I order a dual water inlet valve kit 2188542 for my side by side refrigerator will it have a line for a filter which mine does not have, or will it just have the hook ups for only the ice maker and water levers at the door? If it does have a hookup for a filter will there be some way to plug it and not use it?
Answer Hello! No, the inlet valve 2188542 will not have a port for a filter line. Thanks.
I have replaced this water valve several times. I believe there is something electronically that is not shutting this valve off. I have water overfilling in my ice maker. What else can I check?
Answer Hello Daniel,
Remove the front cover of the icemaker and check the two pins in the center of the geared wheel. If the pins are touching each other or one is missing, the icemaker module W10190935 will need to be replaced. Since this price is kind of inflated, you may want to replace the complete icemaker assembly W10190965.
Water dispenser in front door works fine plenty of water pressure. When not being used it drips out about every 10 seconds. Could this be a bad water valve not closing all the way?
Answer Hello John,
Only two things can cause this: A bad water valve and a pinhole allowing air into the water dispense system. In the case of the pinhole, this is normally accompanied by the complaint of a water leak. Otherwise the water valve 2188542 normally corrects the issue.
Ice maker water valve leaking. If water pressure was low wouldn't water dispenser valve leak also ?
If the icemaker water valve is leaking but the dispenser valve is not then the valve would need to be replaced. Yes low water pressure would cause either of them to stick open and not just one.
