The wash cycle buttons to start the washer sometime activate the washer (turn it on) and sometimes pushing the cycle buttons does not turn the machine on. What is the problem?

Since two weeks after buying this washer I have had the control board replaced 3 times. Two weeks ago I bought a new, in the box from that auction place and the washer worked as it should for 11 days. But now its back to not working. After reading all the post, I thought it better to check with you first before buying another one. When you push the normal button for wash, most of the time, the washer does nothing. If by chance it does work, it will wash and complete its cycles but switches from extended spin, like some one is standing there pushing the button and pushing it off. When the machine won't do anything, all of the push buttons are dead, if you push just the start button it goes right to 7 min of extended spin but won't start the spin cycle. That makes me think it may be the push button touch pad and not the control board is bad. But then again why did it work with the new board in it for 11 days and many of backed up loads of wash! I know this reads like a book, but I really need help to fix the machine correctly. Please help stop the madness! THANKS !!!!

None of the touch pad buttons work. I have 120 v going to control board and all the connection appear good. After a day I tried again and it ran 3 loads but has not worked again (no response on any buttons).

I have a Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959KQ. When I press the touch pad for Normal, you can hear the cycle start, but 8-10 minutes later it stays in that part of the Wash status only. Will not finish Wash, or go to Rinse. I tried other cycles, Hand wash, Delicate. These just cause it to accept water in the washer for 2 seconds, then it stops and there is a humm sound you hear, but nothing else happens.

One day it was working fine-The next day I could not get it to come on. It is getting current and it appears that everyone i've spoken with says it's a bad product and prefer not to work on it.

Washer starts on it's own. It will light up 8 min on timer and light up the light above extend spin cycle. I have pushed start let it count down and run thru cycle. About 5 minutes after it completes cycle it will do the same thing. I have pushed the button repeatedly while it is lit up and prior to hitting start. It beeps like the button is not stuck and hung up or anything. I opened it up and checked all connections and ribbon connector to control board. Everything looks good,,You can hit cancel, it will clear the number 8 from timer for about 5 minutes and then it come back, always same number. 8 and lights up extra spin light. Unplugging washer is only cure, Plug it back in and number 8 comes back with in a couple minutes. Question: control panel or control board...???? All the forums say control panel but button does' t appear stuck, shorted out maybe but it beeps when I push it...??

Control Board on occasion starts itself and registers 44 on the machine. Some times you can turn the unit off on the panel and it will stay off then other times it will keep turning back on to the 44 setting (the 44 is the setting for a normal wash). When it keeps coming back on the only way to stop it from coming on is to unplug the machine. When the machine is plugged back in the washer works normally until the next episode begins. Will replacing the Electronic Control (Part AP3837551 MFG Part 8571359) correct this problem?

Touch pads do nothing when you touch them. I have checked the control board with a multi tester. I get line voltage at pins 2 and 4 of P16 on the control board. I get .35 V on pins 1 and 5 of the same P16 and on pins 1 and 2 of P1 on the motor board. I am afraid that the control board needs replaced, and at over $200, that it might not be worth fixing this machine after all the repair problems I have run across trying to figure out my problem. Anyone have an answer?
