I receibe part# AP3045954 -surface element and I need to replace, please tell me how to do it. Thanks Jesse
Answer Hi Jesse. Remove power. Open the door and lock the door hinge for removal of the door. Once removed you need to remove the front outer Lt and Rt. top screws. Look up uner the front corner overhang edges. Remove the 2-opossing screws and lift the top up. Support the top with a stick or handle. Mark the underside of the old burner screws that are numbered w/ a felt marker. Note the exact wire connections placements. Use a cell phone if needed for pictures. Thenuse a magnifying glass to identify the burner contact letters or numbers. Use the supplied wiring diagram behind the control panel or folded in a packet on the inner lower frame. You will find it after removing the lower drawer. The burner is part # 8273994. Thank You.
How to replace part# ap3045954 . The surface element that i bought from you. thanks .....Jesse Perez
Answer Jesse, Here are the basics, Your unit may be slightly different. " 1. Turn off the electrical supply to the range. 2. Open the oven door and remove the screws from under the front of the maintop, then close the oven door. 3. Slide the maintop forward as far as possible and remove the ground wire and main harness strain relief from the rear of the maintop. 4. Lay a protective covering between the maintop
and the range to protect the finish, then turn the maintop over and lay it on the covering so that you can access the components. 5. Remove the two screws from the bracket of the hot surface indicator light. 6. Remove the screws from the element retaining brackets, unhook them from the maintop, and remove them. 7. Clean the bottom glass of the new maintop and remove any debris." Good Luck and Thanks
