I am in the same boat....outer element doesn't work, but inner element does?
Answer Hello Steve. Test the outer element and see if it reads closed for continuity. If not, you will need to replace the element 9760774 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Pls help me. I am confuse as my broil when switched on, the outer ring is on, and the inner one does not come on. What could be the problem? Should replace the whole broil, or its something else? Thanks.
Answer Hello Najma. You can test the inner section of the broil element with a multi-meter. It should read closed or 0 for continuity. Be sure and disconnect the power before testing the element. Hope this helps.
