My agitator extension keeps coming off during the spin cycle and then bounces around the wash drum. How do I determine if I need just the extension, the agitator base or both?

Answer Hello Linda, The agitator extension will lock into place on the base when properly aligned. The bolt goes to the base of the agitator. It sounds as if though you just need the extension 64213.

I am looking to replace agitator extension AP2907243. I am not sure how it connects to the agitator base. The diagram on your website shows an agitator bolt go down the extension and then screws directly into the agitator base. My cracked extension has a big hole down the middle (something missing?) - it's too big to hold the screw to the extension. What am I missing or what's missing from the diagram? I also seem to be missing the screen filter and does this somehow help to connect the extension to the base?

Answer Hi SW. The upper agitator extension aligns with the base with the 2-holes in the lower base uppermost center area. It will snap into place when properly aligned. The center bolt/washer will go into top of the transmission. The upper agitator part # is 64213. Thank You.
