Part arrived,(PN 34001424) and I installed but there is a leak between the clear glass of door and the ring around the glass. Is there a gasket to seal the gap or can I use some silicone grout? Thanks. Larry
Answer Hello Larry,
Water should never reach the area you are referring to. The water seal should take place between the door glass and the door boot 34001432. If water is getting past this seal, the door boot will require replacement to correct the issue.
I just ordered a door frame item #AP4044601 for my Maytag Neptune front loader washer. Will we be able to install ourselves. The metal hinges are intact that attach door to machine, only the plactic door frame is cracked. Please help. We have had this machine repaired many times and would like to install if possible.
Answer Karen, Yes, this is a repair you should be able to perform, easily, and basic hand tools is all you'll need. Here's some help " Door Removal
1. Disconnect power supply to unit. 2. Remove four screws (on the inner door assembly) to remove door from Front Panel.3. Remove hinge retainer plate. 4. Remove door from hinge posts. 5. Remove Screws around the perimeter of the glass retainer. 6. Remove the glass retainer. 7. Remove glass. 8. Remove external viewing window." Thanks
Same as last question. Handle is reverse of what's pictured.
Answer Ruth, our picture seems to be upside down for the door front frame 34001424. This is the correct part used on your model. Thanks.
The frame is craked and falling off the hinges. Is it a simple installation or would you recommend a professional to install the part?
Answer Hello Edie. You will need to remove the door from the washer. Then disassemble the door, by removing the screws holding it together. Install the new door frame 34001424. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
