I ordered this part for replacement. The washer gets heavy use. That being said, I assume it's inadvisable to use without it? Would this unbalance the machine? Thanks--
Answer Cindy, Yes, a missing baffle could create an issue with vibration and off balanced loads. The clothes wont tumble and separate properly and could "bunch up" and not distribute properly in the tub. But the more important issue would be damage to the articles washed in the washer.
Our washer drum baffle broke off and the plastic tabs broke off and the screw fell off inside between the inner and outer drum. is there a way to retrieve the screws and broken plastic tabs? thanks again
There is one of 2 ways to try to get the screw and plastic tabs out of the outer drum. The first way would be to access the hose at the bottom of the tube and try to see if they fell into the tube or if they are toward the back of the outer drum. If you are unable to get them out this way then you would need to pull the unit apart and separate the tubs to get them out. Also check the drain trap to make sure that they did not flow down to the trap. This is located on the front of the drain pump.
Can you tell me if this part will work with my machine?

Hi I am wondering if I need to use the screws for these baffles or is it optional to use them?
