I need the direction for replacing a dishwasher panel.
Answer Hello Beverly. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Remove the inner door panel and remove the cover off the control board. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and remove the screws holding the control board housing in place. Next remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Remove the outer door panel. Reinstall with the new door panel in reverse order.
How do you replace the cover?
Answer Hello John. You must remove the inner door panel to access the screws and replace the panel 6-917696 on the unit.
Will this panel fit my model? Thanks.
Answer Hello Steve! If your Maytag dishwasher is model MDBH965AWB with no other letters or numbers at the end the stainless door panel 6-917696 will work on your unit. Thanks!
Hi, Is this panel compatible with this model number?
Answer Hello Norman,
The part number you were looking at for the stainless door panel 6-917696 is the correct panel to change over to stainless.
I am looking for a stainless steel replacement panel for my Maytag dishwasher which currently has a black panel on the door. Can you tell me the part number and if you carry it? Thanks. Also, is it difficult to switch out? Thanks.
The stainless steel panel to the comparable unit is 6-917696. You would remove the screws from the inner panel of unit and the screws that hold to the hinges when you lift the inner panel. You will also have screws to remove from control panel.
Is there a stainless steel replacement door for this dishwasher? The current one is black.
Answer Hello Jack! Unfortunately, the stainless outer door panel 99002169 has been discontinued with no further replacements available. Sorry about that!
