Everything works, but fan and microwave parts.Clock, timer OK. Will not heat.
To be able to properly assist we would need to have the model number for your microwave. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
Where is locate oven temperature sensor or fuse, default code is F3-E0.
The oven sensor is located normally in the upper left side of the oven compartment. The part number for the oven sensor is 9782081.
The touch pad display shows "SE". What does this mean??. The microwave isn't working. Do I need to replace the control panel??
Answer John, The "SE" error code does indicate a failed key on the touch pad assembly DE34-00304H You will need to remove the control panel, in order to replace the key pad assembly, also remember to remove power to the microwave before you start any repair.
The upper oven stop heating up but everything is working.
Answer Hello Jarillo. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
Everthing on th Jenn-air microwave seems to work, light, timer, turntable, han, etc, however not heat. Any ideas. Would like to replace with a like model size or repair.
Answer Hello Brian,
There could be a number of things that could be wrong. Could be diode, the diode can be tested using multimeter and check continuity. If open then replace diode. Check the thermal fuse the same way by checking continuity. You would want to test resistance of the HV capacitor. The resisitance should go down which would mean the capacitor is good. Check magnetron for resistance. A 0.5 ohm reading would be a good reading but also check the magnet to make sure that it is not cracked. If cracked then replace. The last thing would be the HV transformer. If all else checks ok then replace the transformer.
Microwave does not heat. I assume it is the generator. Can you tell me which parts I need?
Answer Hello Gregg. You will need to check the magnetron, diode and H.V. Transformer. The diode should only read 1 direction and the magnetron should read less than 1 ohm. Also, check the magnetron for cracked magnets. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
The dishwasher has completely stopped. There is power going to the unit but no lights on the keypad or any response from the unit. I did replace the fuse two years ago so I am assuming it might be the same thing again. Any other things it might be or that I could check so I don't end up replacing things that are not needed? Thanks!
Answer Hello Dennis,
It is possible for the fuse 8193762 to be bad again, but it is also possible for a wire nut in the power connection box behind the kick panel to be bad. Make sure power is available to the unit in case the breaker has failed. Then I would remove the kick panel and open the power connection box and check for melted or dis-colored wire nuts. If this isn't the issue, check for a bad door switch. While your in the door panel testing the door switches, test the fuse. If none of these are the issue, you could have a wiring issue or a bad control board 8564543.
