How can you test the thermal fuse to see if it good?
Answer Hello John. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Hope this helps.

I have checked everything you previously suggested. That is not the problem. Any other suggestions for NOT HEATING other than the heating element?
Answer Hello Lou. If all of that is good, then the motor or the timer is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test from the heater and see where you are losing voltage at on the unit. Then replace the part that is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. My Maytag Dryer MDE8400AYW turns on but there is no heat. Dryer keeps running without drying clothes. Please help!
Answer Hello Lou. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. my maytag neptune will not dry clothes all the way. everytime it will stop in the middle of drying with the panel lit up and not come back on for quite a while. Other times it kicks off and the control panel goes black, but lights back up after awhile. It takes all day to dry one load?
Answer Brian, Have you seen any error codes in the display ? The issue could be an overheating motor 35001080, due to a lint build up on the motor or worn motor bearings, or possibly a safety thermostat 35001080 opening , due to an overheat situation, due to a restricted or kinked exhaust vent. We're sending you some information, so you can conduct some tests and diagnostics to help pinpoint the issue. Thanks and Good Luck
Please help my Dryer work only it cool went it hot it don't turn the drung and make noise, but I wait for it cool down and it work again.
do I need to change Fuse, Thermal Part Number: AP4037790 Made by Whirlpool
Answer Then, I'm having difficulties, If I understand you, Your dryer runs and heats, but makes noise the shuts off, you have to wait for the dryer to cool down , then it will operate again. If thats the case, you most likely need a new dryer motor W10410999 it's overheating and shuts down on the overload. Good Luck and Thanks
