The ignitor starts, flame comes on, stays on for a min then goes out. ignitor starts again a minute later, the flame comes, high smell of gas. Clothes are not dried in an hour, but may be dried in 2 or 3. We did replace Dryer Igniters and Gas Valve Coils 3 years ago.

Answer Hello Chris. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly.
Dryer lights. Flame stays lite for about a minute then goes out. Ignitor goes back on but, flame does not restart. No smell of gas.

Answer Hello Garry. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. If all is good on the unit, you will need to replace the gas valve 31001485. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
UNIT WILL NOT HEAT; HAVE REPLACED IGNITOR WHICH WAS BAD (HAD BURN MARKS AND CRACKED); HAVE REPLACED COILS AND STILL IGNITOR COMES ON BUT DOES NOT IGNITE GAS. (GAS IS COMING THRU) WHAT'S NEXT?

Answer Novice, What do you mean by "Gas is coming through" ? Before you replace the gas valve, remove and check the burner orifice for clogs or debris, and gas supply pressure to the gas valve assembly. Good Luck and Thanks.
What should I be looking for when heat won't come on when drying on high like heavy cycle? It will work when on delicate cycle.

Answer Hi, are you sure the unit is heating on delicate cycle? If yes, then check the cycle switch part # 31001449. Make sure it is sending power to the ignitor on the cycle's you are experiencing issues with. If it's not sending power you will have to replace the switch, hope this helps!
