I need to replace the outer glass on my Whirlpool oven. I have found the part .Is the installation simple, or do you recommend I call a Whirlpool technician?
Bill G. for Model Number SF362LXTB2
Answer Hello Bill. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it.

Answer John,
The door glass part number 12002362 for the lower door is showing that it has been discontinued with no replacement by the manufacturer.
I have a Magic Chef oven from 1984 - model #61EN-3kx. Will this glass work on that oven? If not, do you have a part that will work? Do I need to purchase anything else (any type of frame, or tape, etc.) to put the replacement glass in?

My oven was manufactured in 2002 and had smoked glass on the door. Is this replacement smoked? It looks clear. The glass I ordered directly from Whirlpool was too large. What are the dimensions?
Melinda for Model Number RF367LXKB0
Answer Melinda, the black oven door glass used for your model is part number W10118455. From the picture it looks to be a clear glass, can not tell if it is smoked or not. The original outer glass on your product has been discontinued and this is the manufacturer replacement supplied from Whirlpool. This part measures 29.45" X 20.10". Thanks!
I just bought this part from you. Can you tell me how to install this part on my oven?
