How many OHMs should the heater element be?
Answer Hello Phil. You should get somewhere in the range of 10 to 12 ohms resistance. Or a closed circuit, and no resistance from each element terminal to chassis ground. Hope this helps!
How do you replace the heating element, or do you have to replace the whole assembly?
Answer Hello Jason. You can replace just the element. You will need to remove the heater from the dryer and disassemble the heater box. Then remove the old element from the heater box and install the new element in the ceramic insulators. Make sure none of the element is touching the housing of the heater box. Reinstall the heater box into the dryer. Hope this helps.
I need a heating element for my dryer- Im not sure which one to order...help
Answer Hello Ingrid. Part number Y313538 is the correct heat element for your model. This is just the element. If you would like the complete heater assembly it is part number Y303404. Hope this helps.
I have a maytag dryer de606. Which heater element do I order? 208v or 240v. I am in the United States.
Answer If you are in the US, it is likely you have your dryer plugged into a 240V outlet unless you are in some special housing set up. In order to be sure, if you have a voltmeter you could check to see how much voltage is at the outlet. Thanks.
