The heating element snapped in two. I replaced it and within a week, the new one broke in at least 3 places and the end piece got so hot, it sodered to the metal tube. Am I buying a new dryer? It's 21 years old.

The dryer heats up some of the time when moved. You have to shake it then it will start to heat up again. Could you give some advice what might be wrong? Thank you.

No heat from dryer. I tested the thermal switch, it isn't open. I checked the heating element, about 9 ohms. Checked voltage at heating element, 120v on both sides. Not sure of what else to check if the element has 120v to it and air flowing, shouldn't it be hot? Thanks for the help, Dave.

I bought a heating element put it on but now the dryer will not cut off when clothes are dry. What part makes the dryer cut off so it will not keep running and burn out the new heating element? Thank you,

The heating element was broken I replaced it but the Dryer now will not come on. Everything I have checked is alright and it is getting electricity. If you could tell me what I might be over looking it would be helpful. Thanks
