Reference question posted on April 01. Suggestion to to check the heating element and thermistor. I found the heat element to be defective (No Continuity). The new heating element AP3841139 comes with circuit board. Can I return a circuit board for credit, previously purchased from this site on March this year ? Also, must this be done before the purchase of the new heat element kit. Please advise Bud Matthews

My dishwasher runs 2 cycles and quits. The clean light flashes 7 times. I've run the diagnostics to reset program. Rerun Dishwasher, same thing, washer quits after second cycle. Replaced circuit board, no help. Checked fuse and door latch switches for continuity, OK. Water temp in washer tub checks 120F +. Replaced control panel for mechanical reasons only. I'm out of fixes. Hope you might have a fix for this problem. Thanks, Bud Note dishwasher 8 yrs old.

Upon more digging with my water heating issue, I've discovered that during the drying phase the heating element does come on, so that's good. During the wash, regardless of settings used, the water never gets heated. I've checked the thermal fuse (the thing that is on the circuit board) and it showed continuity (the needle moved to the right on my ohmmeter). I also checked the high-temp fuse on the bottom and it too showed continuity (though that was probably not an issue anyway). I tried running some diagnostics and saw error codes of 8-2, 5-2, 3-3, 4-1 during the cycle and then I think it was 6-1 or 7-1 at the end... which I think is telling me that there is something wrong with how the heating components talk to each other. Perhaps it's the control board just not sending a signal? Truly appreciate the help on this (am trying to not have to spend $150 to get my dishwasher repaired).

I think my heating element isn't working correctly but am not sure exactly how to check. When I open the door mid-cycle (even using the High temp and sani-rinse), the water isn't that hot. Some steam comes out but that could be simply from the initial hot water going in. Or perhaps the heating element is only partially working. As I type this request, I think I need to start off with some cold water and see how warm it gets after 30 min??? Thanks for any insights you can provide to help diagnose the issue.

I have replaced the heating elemet, contol board and thermister to repair based on the information I found. The unit seems to be working properly now but the indicator lights on the front panel are not working as they used to. Smart wash indicator does not come on as well as the clean light once a cycle is completed. Delay option setting of 2, 4 or 6 hours will only light up on the 6 but not function as designed. Can the old baord be reinstalled and or would it even help? Thank you
