Was wondering if there is suppose to be a wire ring inside of this hose? Code F02 Not pumping out water, pump is running fine even replaced it with a new one. Removed all drain hoses inside and out and cleaned throughly. Inside the tub to pump hose there was lots of junk (broken pens and lids, money and I had found a wire ring not sure if it was suppose to be in there around the ball somehow but was rusted and broken,) First run with 3 small towels ran and drained fine just like it was suppose to. Was ecstatic, Filled it up next load back to the F02 code and not draining again. WHAT A WET MESS! we are wondering if maybe the ball in this hose is somehow getting stuck. Bu the thing is there s plenty of water in the hose and in the pump (now all over my floor) :( any clue?

Answer Hello Christy. No, there is no wire ring used inside the hose. If the issue continues and there is no more clogs, you may need to replace the drain pump on the unit.

Does the ball in the hose sit inside on top of the hose or does it get pushed through to the second hole?

Answer Teresa, The "check" ball is inserted into the large opening in the large end of the tub to pump hose. Whwn properly installed it resides in the chamber under the opening and when water backfushes up the hose, it blocks the opening. Thanks

Wondering if this would fit a front loader whirlpool duet ghw9150pw1? Also does the white ball come installed already? If not, how would the white ball be put in?

Answer Phil, the tub to pump hose 8181732 is the correct replacment hose used on model GHW9150PW1. This hose does not include the ball W10121657. The ball will push inside the hose, you may need to grease the ball a little to get it through the hole in the hose. Thanks!

How does part #AP3128836 disconnect from the top? Does it screw out or just pull off?

WHERE EXACTLY IS THIS BALL TO BE LOCATED? DOES IT GO INSIDE OF THE END OF THE LARGE BLACK TUBE ASSEMBLY OR BETWEEN THE END OF THE TUBE AND THE BOTTOM OF THE TUB ASSEMBLY. I REMOVED THE BOTTOM INSPECTION COVER AND THE BALL WAS LAYING INSIDE. I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT GOES BACK IN AT. THANK YOU.

Answer JG, The ball goes between the large end of the tube and the tub bottom. It acts as an "anti syphon" device and keeps drain water from enterrring the tub from the drain system. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Robin! No, the hose 8181732 does not come with the clamp. Searching a model that uses this hose the large clamp is part number 696392 and the smaller clamp, to connect to pump, is 285655. Thanks!

Is there supposed to be a large plastic ball in the tub end of this hose? I assume this is some sort of float that is supposed to be there. Can't imagine how that large a foreign object could have passed through the tub. If it isn't supposed to be there, it's gotta be messing things up.
